Viktoria Mitko is an accomplished and experienced barrister (since 1989), and has been working in the Ukrainian legal aid system since 2012, leading the Quality of Legal Aid Division of the Coordination Centre for Legal Aid Provision (Legal Aid Ukraine) since April 2014. Mrs. Mitko started her career in 1987, working for two years in Sevastopol State Executive Committee as a legal counsel and, later, as a chief legal counsel. In 1989 Mrs. Mitko left the Executive Committee to work as a barrister in the Crimean Board of Barristers, Sevastopol Department of the Ukrainian Bar Association. For five years Mrs. Mitko has been a member of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Sevastopol Bar Qualification-Disciplinary Commission and, science October 2012 – a member of the Qualification Chamber of the Sevastopol Bar Qualification-Disciplinary Commission. On 10 December of 2012 she became a Deputy Director of the Sevastopol Centre for Secondary Legal Aid Provision, becoming its Director on 8 February of 2013 and moving to the Coordination Centre for Legal Aid Provision on 29 April of 2014. She holds a degree in law from the Rotstov-on-Don State University (Rotstov-on-Don, 1987).
